Step 5 Preview is a sparse mixture-of-experts model with 600B total parameters, 27B active, and up to 1 million tokens of context, aimed at long-running agent tasks. StepFun publishes FP8 and BF16 checkpoints, plus an NVFP4 checkpoint, for tool use across a long context.
